Virginia-bound brides, are you looking for a wine-country wedding? Do you drool over photos of simple, yet elegant parties lounging around historic beds-and-breakfasts?
Williamsburg has always been a natural draw for weddings like these, but with one winery and many gorgeous, but small B&Bs, it's not always the perfect location for every wedding.
What is a rustic-chic bride to do?
I am told she should hold an "Orange Wedding"...one in Orange, Virginia that is. And since I'm one of those snooty, hard-to-convince types (sort of!) I'm on my way to check out this claim!
It's an inspired idea, actually: a wedding "tour" for professionals and media related to the wedding field hosted by Jennifer McBride of McBride Events and a slew of sponsors intended to familiarize local markets with the awesome offerings of the Virginia wine region. This 2-day adventure starts early and in Richmond, so I'll be packing up and heading out ungodly-early...and I promise to share the sights, sounds and flavors with you as we go.
You can follow @orangetour on Twitter, and keep an eye on the hashtag #orangeweddings for up-to-the-minute details. I'll introduce you to some of my favorite Richmond-area wedding professionals along the way, and with any luck will share the pretty pictures right here on the Weddlady blog as well!
This is just the beginning - come with me to Orange, Virginia and discover a whole new "World of Weddings"!
Thanks so much to Jenn McBride and her whole team. We look forward to featuring them here, on Twitter and on Facebook throughout the week!
Happy Planning!
